By default, Riva does not sync completed items from the CRM to Exchange, but that behaviour can be changed.

To override the default behaviour:

Apply the following two advanced custom options to the CRM connection object:
Crm.DeleteClosedItem.Task = false
Crm.SyncClosedItem.Task = true

Save the CRM policy and restart the CRM synchronization service to apply the change.
Note: Completed tasks will not be visible in Outlook unless the view is changed to show "Completed Tasks".
