What's New in This Release

Meeting Notes Pop-out for Track in CRM

  • What's New!
    • Not enough space to work on adding your notes?  Now, you can pop-out your notes into a new, larger window.
  • Current Limitations
    • The pop-out functionality is only available with the Outlook Web Add-in client.
    • Drafts are required for using the Meeting Notes pop-out.
  • How do I access it?
    • On Meeting Notes and Text Area fields, there is an expand icon in the bottom-right corner. Click on it to pop-out your notes in a new and larger window.

Increased Support for Drafts with Track in CRM

  • Background
    • Previous versions of the Outlook Web Add-in had limited support for Autosave Drafts, and only supported the following scenarios:
      • Outlook Web Add-in when reading an email and opening Track in CRM from that email.
      • Outlook Web Add-in when an attendee opens an appointment and opens Track in CRM from that appointment.
  • What's new?
    • The Outlook Web Add-in now supports the following scenarios for Autosave Drafts:
      • Outlook Web Add-in in a browser.
      • Outlook Web Add-in when writing an email and opening Track in CRM from that email.
      • Outlook Web Add-in when an organizer creates an appointment or reopens it later — and opens Track in CRM from that appointment.
  • How do I use it?
    • Click on the expand icon within the bottom-right corner of the  meeting notes or textarea text editor.

Riva Insight Top App Bar Changes

  • What's New!
    • The App Bar now has a Home button:
      • Quickly get back to the default Riva Insight view. No more clicking back multiple times.
      • Need to reload the Riva Insight? Click on the Home button.
    • The back button now works from more places.
    • The Create button is now just a "+" icon.
    • New App Bar menu item for My Day (coming soon)

Other Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Riva Insight Cloud
    • Fixed an issue where the new Salesforce login domain sign-in page was not displayed after logging in with a valid Salesforce login.
    • Fixed an issue where the new Salesforce login domain sign-in page was not displaying the most recently used login first (but after any predefined logins)
  • Riva Insight Cloud and On-Premise
    • Fixed an issue where image files were not being cached
    • Fixed an issue where titles were displaying the HTML encoded format for special characters
    • Changed the related item and manual search to require a minimum of 2 characters (instead of 3)

    • Added setting to prevent thread theft with Redis cache
    • The Track button labels to track the mail item can now be set independently from the Track button labels that open the Track in CRM form.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented login directly from browser (for testing purposes).
    • Updated the Create/Update CRM to show any server-side Salesforce or CRM validation errors within the same page, allowing the user to fix and resubmit, instead of having to fill out the form again.
  • Client - Outlook Web Add-in
    • Fixed an issue where a tracked meeting series was not showing the settings used when tracking due to an empty draft overriding the values.
    • The Outlook Web Manifest Generator now always includes appointments for mobile.
    • Riva Insight is now supported for meetings and appointments on Outlook Mobile for iOS (Android was available starting in 2023.2).
Note: There are a couple limitations on iOS that may prevent the ability to track. Riva has confirmation from Microsoft that the issues have ben addressed.
    • Fixed an issue where the support for Graph was not detected on iOS, preventing the Track option to appear on Outlook Mobile for iOS.
  • Client - Windows Add-in
    • Updated Edge WebView2 SDK version from 1.0.955.0 to 1.0.1823.32 for better compatibility with the latest version of the Edge WebView2 Runtime (as of June 6, 2023)
