Understanding Licensing: Riva is licensed by the number of syncing mailboxes.

In Riva 2.4.48 or higher, it is possible to refresh the license count by releasing inactive licenses.

To confirm and/or refresh the license status of a Riva On-Premise installation:

  1. Open the Riva Manager application.

  2. On the menu bar, select Policies.

  3. In the right pane, right-click a policy, and select Licensing Details.

  4. In the License Details window that appears, confirm the following:

    • In the Licenses list box:
      • Number of licenses consumed (used).
      • Number of licenses remaining.
    • In the bottom left corner of the window:
      • When support for the licenses expires.

  5. To view which accounts consume a license: In the Licenses list box, under Licensed Container, double-click a license.

Result: The Licenses for connection [connection name] window displays, for every account, the following information:

    • License State: Whether the license is active or not.

    • Account: The name of the account.

    • Location: The domain name of the account.

  6. In Riva 2.4.48 or higher, optionally release inactive licenses and refresh the license count as follows:

    1. In the bottom right corner, select Refresh Licenses.

Result: The inactive licenses are released, and you are asked to restart the Riva Manager application.

    2. Close the Riva Manager application.

    3. Re-open the Riva Manager application.

    4. To confirm the changes, repeat steps 2 to 4.

Applies to
