Install the Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-In for Organization Users (Microsoft 365 Admins)

Audience: Microsoft 365 administrators (Global Admins, Global Readers, Exchange admins, and Azure Application Admins) who want to install the add-in for the entire organization, user groups, or individuals.

Starting with Riva Insight 2022.3, the Outlook Web Add-in must deployed by a Microsoft 365 administrator through the Microsoft 365 Admin console.  

For older versions, you may install the add-in from your Outlook client;

To install the Riva Insight Outlook Web add-in for your organization:

  1. Log into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center as a Microsoft 365 administrator (Global Admins, Global Readers, Exchange admins, and Azure Application Admins).

  2. Under the left navigation menu, click on Show all to show the additional menu options.

  3. Under the left navigation menu, click to expand Settings, then click on Integrated apps.

  4. On the Integrated apps page, click on Upload custom apps.

  5. Under Provide link to manifest file, add the link to the manifest from one of the URLs listed at https://kb.omni-ts.com/entry/1999/#To-obtain-the-Riva-Insight-Outlook-Web-add-in--use-one-of-the-following-URLs.

  6. Select the users you want the Web Addin available (Entire organization or Specific users/groups)

  7. You will be presented with a summary of permissions the Web Addin requires.  Click Accept Permissions to continue.

  8. You may be presented with a second confirmation screen.  If requested to log in, use the same Office 365 administrator account you used to log into the Office 365 Admin Center.  Click Accept to continue.

  9. After the second confirmation screen, you will see a message indicating if the permission had been accepted.  Click Next to continue.

  10. Finally, click Finish deployment to start the deployment.

  11. You will get a confirmation screen confirming if the deployment completed. Deployment may take anywhere from 6 to 24 hours to deploy across the org.  It may take even longer for the Web Add-in to appear within your end users' Outlook client.

Note: After the Web add-in has been deployed (after the 4-24hr period), end users may need to restart their mail client for Riva Insight to appear.
