Implementation for Riva Cloud

Implementation for Riva On-Premise 2.4.37 or higher

NOTE: Support for Salesforce shared activities and event relations was merged into the Riva On-Premise 2.4.37 release and is present in higher releases. If you are running a Riva On-Premise 97.4.3x release, upgrade Riva On-Premise to the latest public release.

WARNING: Do not follow this procedure unless the Salesforce organization has been upgraded to at least Salesforce Summer 2012 (Version 25).

To enable, in the Salesforce connection, the options for multiple recipients for emails and multiple attendees for meetings:

  1. Start the Riva Manager application.

  2. Edit the Salesforce connection.

  3. Select the Options tab, and select three check boxes, as illustrated below:

    • Tasks and Emails: Allow multiple contacts to be related: Allows Riva to sync emails and relate multiple email addressees to CRM contacts/leads.

    • Events: synchronize event attendees to event relations: Allows Riva to sync Salesforce meetings to Exchange and include an attendee list — Riva does not send out an Exchange meeting invitation. Selecting the option also allows Riva to sync Exchange meetings to Salesforce and include meeting attendees to the Salesforce invitee list for that meeting item.

  4. Save the connection.

  5. In the Riva Service Monitor application, restart the service.

Applies to

  • Riva Cloud for Salesforce.
  • Riva On-Premise 2.4.37 or higher for Salesforce.
