Challenge:  CRM Monitor reports all connection attempts to Exchange fail showing "Error in IMsgServiceAdmin.GetProviderTable: MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND".

Connection:  Exchange 2003 using Outlook Profile, HTTP over RPC, Basic Authentication.

Test:  Opened Riva application. Opened Exchange 2003 connection and performed a "Test Connetion" to a target exchange account.  An error window opened showing "Error in IMsgServiceAdmin.GetProviderTable: MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND".

Cause:  Suspect that there was a minor corruption of something in the local Outlook profile used by the connection.

  1. Used "Control Panel" > "Mail" applet to open and resave the Oultook profile.
  2. In the Riva application, opened the Exchange 2003 connection and performed another "Test Connection".
  3. Confirmed that connection passed.
  4. Restarted the Riva CRM Agent Service for Exchange.

Applies to:

  • Riva Exchange MAPI Connection
  • Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010
