Error: "Source DB Does Not Exist."

After the addition of a new user to the synchronization policy or the execution of an advanced connection test, the following error appears in the service monitor or logs.

Source DB does not exist.


This error typically occurs in these scenarios:

  1. The connection user used by Riva to authenticate the connection with Notes/Domino does not have access to the mail file.
  2. The Domino server that is running the Riva Connector is not listed in the target servers "Trusted Servers".


Fix the access control and trust issues.

Result: Riva will then have the appropriate access to the mail file in order to synchronize this user.

  1. Check and fix the "Access Control" for the user's mail file.
  2. Confirm that the Domino server configuration document for the server that hosts the mail file has the Riva server listed in the "Trusted Servers" list.
