Last updated: 19 Sep, 2023

(Applies to Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise.)

When Riva tries to sync contacts from Exchange to 1CRM (info@hand), Riva might report the error that the last name is missing.

One or more Exchange contacts do not have a value for the last name in the Exchange (Outlook) contact record.

Solution for Riva Cloud

Contact the Riva Success Team.

Solution for Riva On-Premise

Riva 2.4.32 or higher includes an advanced custom option that can be applied to the sync policy that will automatically insert (Unknown) to the surname field of the CRM contact record.

To insert "(Unknown)" in the CRM surname field if the Exchange surname field is empty:

Crm.Contact.UnknownLastNameDefault = (Unknown)

Once applied, Riva will perform sync of contact items from Exchange to the CRM and will insert (Unknown) as required into CRM contact records it creates..

Applies to

  • Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise for Exchange.
  • Riva release 2.4.32 or higher.
