Article ID: 313
Last updated: 12 Dec, 2016

(Applies to Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise.)

Issue

In some environments, the Sugar server response times can be very slow due to network connectivity, network latency, bandwidth availability, or host server performance issues.

This is more often the case when dealing with hosted Sugar services.

Solution for Riva Cloud

Contact the Riva Success Team.

Solution for Riva On-Premise

To extend or reduce the timeout of each Sugar web service request, two advanced App.Settings can be configured.

To modify the timeout while authenticating:

SugarCrm.AuthServiceTimeout = 30000 (Default value, in milliseconds. = 30 seconds.)

To modify the timeout used for all other requests:

SugarCrm.ServiceTimeout = 300000 (Default value, in milliseconds. = 5 minutes)

App.Setting files to create or modify:

For the following Riva applications or services, create or modify the following files:

  • For the Riva Manager application (for testing Sugar connections): RivaApp.exe.config.

  • For the Riva CRM Agent for Exchange service: Omni.Riva.CrmAgentEx.exe.config.

  • For the Riva CRM Agent for GroupWise service: Omni.Riva.CrmAgent.exe.config.

Applies to

  • Riva Cloud.
  • Riva On-Premise 2.4.19 or higher.
