Applies to all Riva Cloud modes.

Common edit user tasks include

To edit a target user:

  • In the User Manager, select the Pencil icon for that user.

Riva Cloud displays the Edit User Account window for that target user.

Change the User Login Password

The Riva Cloud admin account can reset a password for a target user. The reset password is not emailed to the target user.

Tip: Changing the password in this manner is the way to prevent users from accessing their Riva Cloud accounts while leaving the users enabled.

There are two ways to change a user login password:

To let Riva generate a password:

  1. Edit the target user.

  2. Select Generate.

A complex password appears in the Change Password field.

  3. At the bottom of the page, select Update.

To manually specify a password:

  1. Edit the target user.

  2. In the Change Password field, enter a secure password.

  3. At the bottom of the page, select Update.

Enable or Disable a User Account

Disabled users cannot log in to their Riva Cloud accounts, and their sync policies are disabled.

You can temporarily disable or re-enable target users.

  1. Edit the target user.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To enable the user account, select the Enable User Account check box.
    • To disable the user account, clear the check box.

  3. At the bottom of the page (not shown on the screen shot), select Update to update the target user account.

Every disabled target user account is indicated by a red X on the Manage Users page. Disabled users cannot log in to their Riva Cloud accounts, and their sync policies are disabled.

Change User Account Details

The Riva Cloud admin can modify the first name, last name, country, time zone, user type, and email address of a target user.

To change user account details:

  1. Edit a target user.

  2. Modify one or more detail fields.

  3. At the bottom of the window, select Update to update the target user.
