Default Field Mappings for HCL Notes <> Salesforce

Riva uses default field mappings between Salesforce and HCL Notes (formerly known as IBM Notes).

• Contacts.
• Calendar.
• Tasks.

Contacts: Default Field Mappings

Contacts notes:

1. To enable syncing the middle name, apply the following advanced option to the Salesforce connection: Salesforce.Contact.MiddleName.Sync.Enabled = true

Calendar: Default Field Mappings

Calendar notes:

1. In Salesforce, the Created By field cannot be edited.
2. A recurring appointment in HCL Notes is synced to Salesforce as a series of individual appointments.
3. For appointments that were created in Notes, the Description cannot be updated in Salesforce.
4. Attachments added in Salesforce to appointments that were created in Salesforce are not synced to Notes.
5. Setting the private flag in Salesforce has no effect on the Notes appointment.

Tasks: Default Field Mappings

Tasks notes:

1. The syncing of Notes recurring tasks is not currently supported.
2. In Notes, the Assign to field is editable only when creating the task.
3. For tasks that were created in Notes, the Description cannot be updated in Salesforce.
4. Attachments added in Salesforce to tasks that were created in Salesforce are not synced to Notes.
