Problem: Customer purchased GWmerge license for their generic "info@mycompany.com" GroupWise account. They want to login into their normal GroupWise account and proxy into the generic account and use GWmerge.
Cause: GWmerge will not work through Proxy Access. When GWmerge starts it checks its license file against the email account that the GroupWise client is logged into. If the GroupWise client is not open, then GWmerge will prompt for authentication into GroupWise. This prevents using GroupWise proxy access with GWmerge.
Resolution: GWmerge requires authentication to the licensed GroupWise account. The user can:
- login into the generic GroupWise account using their Windows GroupWise client,
OR
- close their GroupWise client, start GWmerge and then authenticate into the generic GroupWise account.
Applies to: GWMerge 2.8
