Riva needs a connection to 1CRM that uses the credentials of an admin account that can impersonate into the target CRM user accounts.

  1. Create a 1CRM (or info@hand) CRM connection.
  2. Test and edit the 1CRM (or info@hand) CRM connection.

Step 1: Create a 1CRM (or info@hand) CRM Connection

  1. Ensure that you have followed the Prepare 1CRM for Riva procedure.

  2. In the Riva Manager application, on the menu bar, select Setup.

  3. In the left pane, select CRM: info@hand to open the 1CRM (info@hand) CRM Wizard.

  4. On the wizard's Welcome page, select Next.

  5. Provide the required information:

User Name: This must be an admin level 1CRM account that Riva will use to connect to the 1CRM system and impersonate into the target user accounts.

Password: Provide the password for the admin account.

Address: Provide the URL link to the 1CRM login window, for example https://crm.mycompany.com

Use proxy: Specify a unique http/s proxy setting that will apply to this CRM connection.

  6. Select Next.

  7. (Riva 2.4.47 or higher.) On the Additional Connection Options page, optionally select the check box Is the connection user dedicated for synchronization: [user name]. For guidance, see Is the connection user dedicated for synchronization.

  8. On the Successful Connection page, select Finish.

The Riva Manager application creates a 1CRM connection object.

Step 2: Test and Edit the 1CRM (or info@hand) CRM Connection

To test the connection to confirm that user impersonation is working:

  1. In the Riva Manager application, on the menu bar, select Setup.

  2. In the right pane, double-click the 1CRM connection object to open the CRM Connection Edit window.

  3. Confirm that the connection credentials look correct.

  4. (Riva 2.4.46 or higher.) Optional: Assign a user-friendly Display Name.

  5. Select the Connection Test tab, and select Test Connection.

The 1CRM connection account is tested to ensure that the credentials are correct.

  6. In the Test succeeded message box, select OK.

  7. In the User E-mail field, provide the email address for the 1CRM target user, and select Run Test.

The system tests that the CRM connection account is able to impersonate into the 1CRM target user account.

  8. In the Test succeeded message box, select OK.

  9. In the CRM Connection Edit window, select Cancel to close the window.
