Apply Advanced or Custom Options to a Sync Policy or Connection Object

The following procedure applies to Riva On-Premise 2.4.42 or earlier. For the procedures that apply to version 43 or higher, see To configure custom or advanced options for a sync policy or CRM connection object.

To configure custom or advanced options in Riva On-Premise 2.4.42 or earlier:

  1. Best practice: If multiple option changes to the sync policy or connection are anticipated, stop the Riva synchronization service.

  2. Edit the relevant Riva sync policy or CRM connection object.

  3. Select Advanced Options, and select Custom Options.

    Riva On-Premise. The Edit CRM Synchronization Policy window. On the Advanced Options page, near the bottom, selecting Custom Options opens a window to configure custom options and advanced options. There is a similar button on a CRM connection window.

  4. In the Advanced Options window that appears, enter the desired key and corresponding value in the top fields, and select Add. Verify that the key and the value appear in the list box.

  5. If you need to enter multiple keys and their values: For each key and its value, repeat step 4.

  6. After entering the last key and its value, select OK.

  7. Save the sync policy or CRM connection object.

  8. If the Riva synchronization service was stopped at step 1, start it.

Apply Advanced or Custom Options to Specific Users in the Riva Sync Policy

The following procedure applies to Riva On-Premise 2.4.42 or earlier. For the procedures that apply to version 43 or higher, see To set advanced or custom options for specific target users.

For this feature to be available, the user must have synced at least once.

To set advanced options or custom options for specific users in Riva On-Premise 2.4.42 or earlier:

  1. Best practice: If multiple option changes to the sync policy or connection are anticipated, stop the Riva synchronization service.

  2. In the Riva sync policy, select the Sync Start Time tab.

  3. Right-click a user, and select User Advanced Options.

    Riva On-Premise. In the Edit CRM Synchronization Policy window or in a CRM connection window, on the Sync Start Time page, in the list box, right-click a user and select User Advanced Options.

  4. In the Entity Advanced Options window that appears, add the desired advanced option keys and values.

  5. Select OK to save those options and close the Entity Advanced Options window.

  6. If the Riva synchronization service was stopped at step 1, start it.
