What's New in This Release

New! Accessing Riva Insight Settings from Riva Cloud

  • What's New!
    • Riva is introducing another way of accessing Insight settings from Riva Cloud. This will allow Riva Cloud Admin to manage Insight configurations for their organization and work closely with Riva teams to reduce deployment and validation cycle time.

  • Admins also have the additional capability to export and import all Insight configuration files. This allows Cloud admins to easily export and send in their current configuration, and upload an updated version if required.

Enhancements

'Shared Calendar Improvements' notice for tracking calendar item

  • Background
    • For Office365 mailboxes, Microsoft has introduced a default setting called "Shared Calendar Improvements", which applies changes to calendar items directly on the server.
    •  The Riva Insight makes changes to the local Outlook copy of mail items. When an item in a shared calendar is tracked, it creates a server copy and a client copy of the calendar item leading to a conflict in Outlook. This results in the shared calendar item not being sent when tracked.
  • What do I need to do?
    • If using "Shared Calendar Improvements" with a Microsoft 365 mailbox and tracking items, you must turn off the Shared Calendar Improvements.
    • If the setting is enabled, users are notified in the Riva Insight sidebar to disable the settings. Once this setting is disabled, users can continue to track items to CRM
    • If you do not use shared calendars, do not have a Microsoft 365 mailbox, or do not track items that are in shared calendars, no changes are necessary.

Delegate support notice with Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in

  • Background
    • In 2022.5 release, support for delegate access with the Outlook Web Add-in was made available
    • With a delegated or shared mailbox, you will be able to:
      • View CRM data for email or meetings.
      • Track existing emails and meetings.
      • Track and Send emails and meeting requests.
  • What's New!
    • A new notice for delegate to inform if they are lacking proper access to track items.
      • Scenario: If a view only delegate access was set up for a delegate user and they attempted to track an item on behalf of the mailbox user, an info message would now be displayed and will prevent tracking of the item.

Retrieving Item Error Notice

  • With Riva Insight Web Add-in, we added a notice to display error in retrieving from server. This can happen when outlook has not synced, and server copy of the item could not be retrieved.
    • While tracking an item
    • While quick tracking an item
