Troubleshooting

I get connected to the SSLVPN (RivaVPN or RivaVPN110), but I get dropped shortly after.

  1. Try connecting at least three times to get a connection that will stay connected.

  2. After a third unsuccessful try, reboot your local workstation and connect to Riva first before starting any other applications. Keep the VPN Window open, so you can always see the status. Shut down at the end of the day, and start the workstation when you start the day.

I get this error when try to remotely take over my Office workstation:

  1. Try  these things:

    • Make sure you are still connected to the RivaVPN or RivaVPN110. Can you access Redmine and dev.omni-ts.com? If “no”, you are not connected to Riva. You need to re-connect.
    • If connected to RivaVPN or RivaVPN110, disconnect from it, re-connect, and try to Remote DeskTop again.
    • Disconnect from RivaVPN or RivaVPN110, and reboot the local workstation, connect to RivaVPN or RivaVPN110, and try to Remote DeskTop again.
    • Are there pending updates to the OS, Antivirus, or Applications on the local workstation? If so, allow those to install, and reboot. Connect to RivaVPN or RivaVPN110, and try to Remote Desktop again.
  2. If the above actions don’t help to resolve the issue, reach out to ICS for additional assistance.
