Desktop add-in:
Some of the functionality of Riva Insight server 2020.1 requires the following minimum version for your desktop add-in.

To benefit from Riva Insight's latest enhancements and improvements, we recommend updating your desktop add-in to the following version:

  • Outlook Windows add-in, version 2020.1.
    • Now, when the add-in is updated, its version number is the same as for the Riva Insight Server that is released at the same time.
    • If this version is not installed on your device, the Riva Insight login page and Settings page display a message to that effect.
Release date: Jan. 16, 2020
Cloud customers: Riva Insight services were upgraded automatically 2020-1-16 (January 16).
On-Premise customers: For an upgrade package and to schedule an upgrade, contact the Riva Success Team.
Riva Insight (Cloud version) is available as a free 15-day trial.

What's New in This Release

The following are available for

  • Both Riva Insight platforms: Cloud and On-Premise.
  • Both Outlook add-ins: Outlook Web add-in and Outlook Windows add-in.

Ability to configure CRM modules:

  • Riva Insight administrators can now perform the following operations in the Riva Insight Settings window:
    • Enable or disable CRM modules.
      • Contacts and Accounts are required modules and cannot be disabled.
    • Edit the display names of the CRM modules.
    • Select which modules are available in the Insight panel search.
    • Configure in what order the modules are displayed in the Insight panel search and the Riva Insight Settings window.
  • A Riva Insight admin who needs assistance can contact the Riva Success Team.

Track in CRM

New Track status indicator: "Tracking"

  • Background:
    • The top right corner of the Track in CRM window displays green status indicators.
    • The Tracked indicator was intended to mean that the user had selected Track, whether the item was waiting to be synced or had been synced.
    • Some users found that confusing. To them, Tracked should always mean that the user had selected Track and the item had been synced.
  • Solution:
    • Now, when a user selects Track, the new Tracking indicator appears. It remains visible until the item is synced. When the item is synced, the Tracking indicator is replaced with the Tracked indicator and the Synced indicator appears.

Complete freedom in ordering the CRM fields and module selectors in the Track in CRM window:

  • In earlier versions, the fields on the Track in CRM window were separated under two headings:
    • CRM fields (the fields that displayed data from the CRM); and
    • Link To... (the fields where the modules were selected, like Contact and Opportunity).
The module selector fields were always at the bottom of the Track in CRM window. Administrators could not change that.
  • Now, there are no headings. Administrators have complete freedom to re-order or intersperse the CRM fields and module selector fields in any order.
