Riva Insight: Release 2016.2 Release Notes

The Riva team is excited to share the early access and release schedule for Riva Insight version 2016.2.

The Riva Insight release notes list the major enhancements, features, and fixed issues for the release.

Release version: 2016.2
Early Access Availability date: Aug. 15, 2016
General Release Availability date: Aug. 30, 2016
Manual update procedures: Install Riva Insight for Outlook on Windows.
Install Riva Insight for IBM Notes.
For the Riva Insight Mail App for Office 365, contact the Riva Success Team.

Release Schedule

For clients using Riva Insight on Riva Cloud, the release will be made available in multiple phases. See the deployment schedule below.

For clients with dedicated instances of Riva Insight on Riva Cloud, unless otherwise requested, all testing instances will be upgraded during the early access deployment window.

For clients using Riva Insight on-premises, contact the Riva Success Team for an upgrade package. The upgrade package will be available by Sept. 12, 2016.

Release: Completed

Time frame

There is potentially a period of up to 20 minutes of service disruption during the upgrade window.

Early Access: All clients will have access to the new release for validation and confirmation. For complete details on the Riva Insight Early Access Release, contact the Riva Success Team.

The deployment window is scheduled for: (World Clock)

  • (New York, EDT) Monday, August 15, 2016, at 10:00 p.m.
  • (Australia, AEST) Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 12:00 p.m.
  • (Europe, CEST) Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 4:00 a.m.

Release: Based on the successful client acceptance of the Early Access Release.

The deployment schedule is planned as follows. (World Clock)

  • (New York, EDT) Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 10:00 p.m.
  • (Australia, AEST) Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 12:00 p.m.
  • (Europe, CEST) Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 4:00 a.m.

Release Notes

The updates in this release are available for all of these components:

  • Riva Insight for Outlook (on Windows).
  • Riva Insight Mail App.
  • Riva Insight for IBM Notes.

New features:

  • The Login with Salesforce feature now supports Salesforce Custom "My Domain" Authentication URLs.
  • Track in CRM now allows loading more results. Select the Load More button to display more than the initial results.

Enhancements:

  • Improved speed of search functions.
  • Enhanced user interface and experience for Track in CRM.
  • Documentation added for these requirements: Trusted websites.

Fixed issues:

  • Improved stability when navigating the Track in CRM feature.
  • Improved reliability of search functions.
  • Improved reliability of options and configurations.
  • Fixed minor display issues in the Riva Insight panel and Riva Insight Settings window.
