Riva Insight supports the following CRM applications:

  • Salesforce,
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM,
  • NetSuite,
  • Sugar, and
  • SAP Hybris Sales (SAP C4C).
     

Supported Email Servers

Riva Insight supports the following email server applications:

  • Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in:
    • Office 365;
  • Riva Insight Windows Add-in:
    • Office 365,
    • Outlook.com,
    • Exchange 2019, and
    • Exchange 2016;

Due to Microsoft moving away from Windows (COM based) Add-ins, the Outlook Web Add-in should be used for all environments using Microsoft 365/Microsoft Online as the mail server.

Riva Insight supports the following email clients with the Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in:

  • Microsoft 365 Subscription
    • Outlook for Mac.
    • Outlook for Windows:
      • with Office version 16.0.11629 or later, and
      • Windows 10 version 1903 or later.
    • Outlook for Android:
      • with Android 4.4 KitKat or later.
    • Outlook for iPhone and iPad:
      • with IOS 11 or later.
    • Outlook on the Web (browser version of Outlook).
  • Microsoft Office one-time purchase.
    • Outlook for Mac 2021 and 2019
    • Outlook for Windows 2021
    • Outlook for Windows 2019 (retail licence only)
      • with retail licence only, and
      • Office version 16.0.11629 or later, and
      • Windows 10 version 1903 or later.
  • Any version of Outlook that uses Internet Explorer as the embedded web browser IS NOT SUPPORTED

Outlook Web Add-in support is determined by what Microsoft refers to as a "requirement set".  The Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in requires requirement set version 1.7. For more information on which clients support requirement set 1.7, refer to Outlook requirement sets

Riva Insight supports the following email clients with the Riva Insight Windows Add-in:

  • Outlook 2019, 2021, or later for Windows
    • The WebView2 runtime is required, it can be downloaded from Microsoft and installed
    • If WebView2 runtime is not installed, Insight will use Internet Explorer as the embedded browser in Outlook, which may have compatibility issues and will not be supported past 2022.
  • Support for Outlook using Internet Explorer as embedded web browser is ending. For more information refer to: 
  • NOTE: The Windows Add-in is installed per-machine, not per user. Installing the Windows Add-in in a user folder is NOT supported.

Supported email web client browsers

Email web client browsers are supported only by the Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in.

When accessing the web version of Outlook or Office 365, the following browsers are supported by Riva Insight:

  • Google Chrome (latest),
  • Microsoft Edge Chromium (latest),
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest), and
  • Apple Safari (latest).

Other Supported Technologies

The Riva Insight Add-ins supports these:

  • Remote Desktop services and
  • Citrix.

URL Whitelist

Riva Insight using the following services:

  1. https://maps.googleapis.com - Google Places; allows Riva to find the location of a contact or account.
  2. https://api.xmltime.com - Time and Date API; allows Riva to find the local time of a contact or account.
  3. https://appsforoffice.microsoft.com - Microsoft Web Add-ins; allows Web Add-ins to run within Office.
  4. https://graph.microsoft.com - Microsoft Graph; allows Web Add-ins to access mailbox data.
  5. https://login.salesforce.com, {mydomain}.my.salesforce.com - Salesforce; allows sign-on to Riva Insight using Salesforce (substitute {mydomain} with your Salesforce domain).
  6. https://cdn.lr-in-prod.comhttps://cdn.ingest-lr.com - LogRocket; allows for Riva to collect diagnostic information when troubleshooting issues (disabled by default),
